20071214 - Battletoads Quicksketch

Este dibujo lo hice mientras veia a mis sobrinos jugar al 'Battletoads & Double Dragon: The Ultimate Team' para Genesis//Megadrive.
De repente me surgio la inspiracion de hacer un fanart de los tres sapos que en mi infancia habian captado mi atencion por un tiempo [como ocurrio con diversos productos que tambien estaban "inspirados" (je) en el exito de las Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, como Bucky O'Hare o Biker Mice From Mars^^]
A destacar que el juego original (o sea "Battletoads", el primero, en el que no estaban los hermanos Billy y Jimmy Lee) era increiblemente dificil y variado, y ademas exprimio bastante el potencial del NES//Famicom en aquella epoca en el sentido de imaginacion y desarrollo de niveles

De vuelta al sketch, se pueden ver a Zits(el lider), Rash(en el fondo con el pie en forma de hacha) y a Pimple (en el fondo a la izquierda, con los brazos en forma de yunque)

Quizas le añada algunos detalles mas y lo coloree como es debido^^

Suddenly I felt the inspiration to do a fanart based on those three toads that capted my attention, for a while, when I was younger [the same way that happened with some other porducts "inspired" (heh) on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, like Bucky O'Hare or Biker Mice from Mars^^]
Something I remember clearly from the original game(which means "Battletoads", the previous one, Billy and Jimmy Lee were not included) is it was extremely hard and really original, and it tested the NES//Famicom capabilities to the maximum

Back to the Sketch, you can see Zits(the leader of the team), Rash (in the BG, performing his "Axe Kick") and Pimple(in the BG, at the left corner, performing his "Anvil Punch")
