Ah. Sorry if what I just wrote was a waste of time in itself; I didn't see that you had also put out a lineart version as a deviation for people to color. While it's still breaking copyright, I suppose that there isn't really a problem if you don't mind other people doing that.
I think I'll let this serve as a lesson to myself to be more thorough in checking the relevant facts when I see something I think might be breaching copyright.
I'm not sure what you would think of this, but ~arashkya has copied your deviation here: [link]
While she does refer to you as the original artist quite clearly, I considered it a good idea to let you know of this copyright breaking incident. Whether you consider this flattery or insulting should be up to you, I think. (This is also the reason why I have not reported the deviation; if you had no problem with it, it would be a waste of time to report it.)
It makes me a little sad that someone would think I would copyright someone else's work. T_T
I always go through all lengths to make sure that any/all lines I color have full artist permissions first, and once uploaded give them full credit as the original artists.
As a graphic/web designer as well as hobby artist on DA, I'm a firm believer in artist rights and copyright laws. I would appreciate a note from anyone who thinks I might be in violation, as I would like to right it myself as quickly as possible!
Really hope you get to do more SM work in the future <3
I'll probably be drawing them and also submitting the lineart for colouring just like I did with
Haruka is my fav so I guess at least her will be drawn soon too^^
I'm glad you liked this
Thanks anyway for your concern, I appreciate it
